Volunteering roles currently available

There are a number of vital roles that ensure the smooth running of The Hub , and provide support outside it. Below are those we are currently recruiting for:

  • Youthworker (4Corners) – Help with Monday evening 4Corners Youth club
  • Homework helper – visiting a child at home once a week or fortnight to help with homework (primary school age)
  • Kitchen Helper – Serve tea and coffee from The Kitchen, lay out food donations for shared meal, and clear up
  • Receptionist – Welcome people on arrival, sign them in, and out again on departure
  • Collect Donated Food from the City Centre on a Saturday night or early Sunday morning, and deliver to The Hub after 12.30 on Sunday
  • Children’s Worker – Help with activity sessions for children aged 1-14
  • English Conversation Teacher – for groups of adults
  • Campaigning and/or Fundraising
  • Website
  • Social Media
  • Other support – often midweek and at short notice – supporting service users in attending appointments, meeting for coffee to reduce isolation, visiting someone in a Detention Centre, admin support such as photocopying, faxing or phone calls
